THIS WEEK IS OUR FOUNDERS WEEK!!
This Wednesday, July 20th, marks the 70th anniversary of our first pledge club crossing the Burning Sands; it marks our 70th year of service to the Harlem community and abroad. How we celebrate this week dictates how we are viewed to the public. Here is the advised schedule of events for this week:
– Wednesday, July 20th
“Founders’ Day” Para Wednesday/Cake Cutting. All Chapters.
– Thursday, July 21st:
“Feather Hour” Happy Hour at Cantina (1838 Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd, New York, NY), 4pm-8pm.
Happy Hour prices start at 3pm and end at 7pm. Must be 21 and up.
– Friday, July 22nd:
“Birds of a Feather Mixer and Fraternity Discussion.”
The Feather discusses the fraternity’s role in the community in relation to current events. Event taking place at the Lt. Joseph P. Kennedy Center (34 W 134th Street, New York, NY), 6:30pm-9pm.
– Saturday, July 23rd:
“Founders’ Day Cookout!”
Founders’ Day Cookout in Brooklyn, NY at Herbert Von King Park, Tompkins entrance. 12pm to “Dusk.” Everyone is invited to attend. “Rep your org,” and show love. Sunday, July 24th: “Service Sunday” The Feather will attend church service en masse and provide volunteer services.
